These 86 photographs were made from original negatives found in a box at a Smithfield, R. I., antique store.
The 1939-40 World’s Fair opened in April of 1939, and closed in 1940, after which many of the buildings and other structures were demolished or removed. Therefore, these valuable historic images may be of interest to researchers and historians. They have never been published before.
